Oilte was a pilot teacher-training project that began in 2001. It was coordinated by Institiúid Teangeolaíochta Éireann (ITÉ) and jointly funded by the National Centre for Technology in Education (NCTE), for primary and post-primary language teachers, and by the Curriculum Development Unit (CDU) for teachers working in Colleges of Further Education. Oilte was awarded European Label for Innovation in Language Teaching and Learning in 2003. |
